Ignazio Di Fresco

From 1980 to 1983 he studied drums at a small music school in Chieri (TO), the birthplace of Ignazio. From 1983 to 1985 he had his first musical experiences with some local groups. In 1985, being originally from Sicily, he moved to Palermo.

In 1990 he left for the United States for a tour of Italian pop music. A wonderful experience that led Ignazio even further to study drums. From 1986 to 1996 he performed in many concerts with ''Afra'', ''Kaloria'', ''Castore e Polluce'', etc. In 1996 he met Franco Rossi, one of the greatest drum teachers on international level and along with Franco he studied at the Drum School ''Accademia Musica Moderna'' in Milan, where he graduated and specialized in Latin-Funk. He participated in many seminars and workshops with leading artists of the world such as Dom Famularo, Skipp Hadden (teacher of the Berklee College Of Music), Horacio Hernandez, Dave Weckl, Mike Mangini, David Garibaldi (Tower of Power), Virgil Donati, etc.

In 1999, he opened up the headquarter of ''Accademia Musica Moderna'' in Palermo, giving lessons to students from all over south Italy. The work as a session musician and teacher becomes more frenetic and challenging.
