Jörg Lesch

Biography

Jörg Lesch began playing the drums at the age of ten years. At the age of seventeen, he completed his entrance examination at the training band in Hilden 1983 to join his training as a military musician.

During his university studies at the Robert - Schumann Institute in Düsseldorf, he received not only lessons with the former solo timpanist of the WDR Symphony Orchestra, Georg BREIER, but also the former drummer of the WDR big band Sperie Karas. After successfully completing his examination in 1987, he joined his service as the 1. Drummer in the military band 100 in Münster. (since October 2001 military area band II)

Since January 2007, Jörg Lesch as training Sergeant is responsible for the education of the drummers in the training band of the Bundeswehr in Hilden. Jörg Lesch teaches not only at various music schools, but is also a lecturer of music associations nationwide on the road. Its varied application possibilities round off in particular his work as Fachdozent for percussion in the qualifying courses the State Music Academy in Heek-Nienborg.
