Robert Pfankuchen


Percussionist Robert Pfankuchen was born in Bonn, Germany. He constantly developed his playing skills and repertoire working with different artists and bands. Today, he finds himself home in many genres. Lessons with great percussionists like Roland Peil, Nils Fischer and others gave him the foundation for a successful career.

Robert was a member of Big Bands like “Mixed Bag Boogie Band” from Bonn, that made him travel throughout the world, one station being the 44th Montreux Jazz Festival in 2010.

He furthermore proofed his versatility playing in the Spanish Rock scene with "Curanderos", Swedish songwriter "Kompanjon", or with "5.eins", a hip hop group from Germany.

Roberts’ main musical activities are based in Cologne, Germany and Rotterdam, Holland. Currently, he tours with his Salsa Big Band “Salsa Chocolate”, ”La Noticia” and female soul / hip hop artist “Fleur Earth”.
