Dado Marinkovic

Biography

Dalibor Dado Marinkovic was born in 1976, Doboj BiH where lived there through his childhood. Dado started playing drums at the age of 5, and played with many different bands around Europe.

In 2001 Dado moved to Zagreb, Croatia. There he was soon recognized as a great instrumentalist by many major names in Croatian musical industry, no matter what genre: pop, rock, jazz, world music, r&b etc... In last three years (2004, 2005, 2006) Dado received four „Status“ award. Award for the best drummer in Croatia.

Also in 2005 he was awarded with 2 awards for best drummer in pop, rock and jazz music. During his career in music Dado played with many leading Croatian artist and also played with world famous fellow musicians (Tommy Emannuel, Saskia Laroo, Maya Azucena etc.).

He also played on Gibboni „UNCA FIBRE“ album with Tony Levin, Manu Katche, Vlatko Stefanovski, Matija Dedic etc. He also recorded with great Croatian artists (VANNA, ZDRAVKO COLIC, TOSE PROESKI, NINA BADRIC, DINO MERLIN, TONY CETINSKI, B.R.K., GIBONNI etc. Now he's playing with Gibboni and Marijan Brkic B.R.K. band.
