Students from the Schwäbisch Gmünd Pedagogical University visit SONOR

On December 14 and 15, students of the PH Schwäbisch Gmünd (pedagogical university), along with their tutor Johannes Wittmann, visited the SONOR manufacturing plant in Bad Berleburg Aue. The young women were part of a study group, winning one of the 1st prizes in the SONOR Orff Composition & Arrangement Challenge with their creative arrangement of the Gerswhin tune “I got rhythm”.

Due to ongoing exams the participation in the journey, together with the other winners of first prizes, was not possible at the time, so now the award presentation was arranged for an extra date.

Eva-Maria Maywald, product manager SONOR Orff, was especially happy about the participation of the young students, because - despite all the prophecies of doom - it shows the still existing relevance of Orff pedagogy and instruments in today’s classrooms.
