SONOR welcomes Christoph Schneider (Rammstein)

Sonor is proud to welcome Christoph Schneider to its international Family of Artists! Effective October 1st, 2008, Christoph exclusively uses Sonor Drums and Hardware.

Christoph is most known as the drummer for Rammstein, the most successful German-speaking Band of all times internationally, according to the Billboard magazine. With numerous awards in the back and millions of records sold, Christoph played more than 400 concerts with Rammstein in more than 35 countries since the band was born in 1994.

Christoph plays drums since his early childhood and was excited to personally visit the Sonor factory located in Bad Berleburg-Aue, Germany. His first contact with Sonor goes back a couple of years, when he test-drove and felt in love with the Giant Step Series double bass drum pedal.

When visiting the company in early September, the German made series “Delite” was clearly his favourite sound. His setup consist of two 22x17.5” Bass Drums, 10x7” and 12x8” Tom Toms, and Floor Toms measuring 16x16” and 18x16”. His main Snare Drums are the Artist Series 14x6” Bronze model AS 07 1406 BRB, 14x6” Cottonwood model AS 07 1406 CM, as well as a Delite 12x5” Side Snare, matching to the kit. The setup is completed by 600 Series Hardware Stands, Giant Step Series Pedals and various Basic Arm System Accessories.

Says Sonor’s Int’l Artist Relation Manager Thomas Barth: “We are more than just proud to announce that Christoph now officially is a part of our international Artist Family. Christoph was very excited when he made the long way down to the factory, as we’ve been as excited to have him visit the company, sit down to check out our drums and finally sign the artist agreement. Sonor is now around since 1875 and is known in the drumming community to have the greatest artist roster by far. Christoph definitely landmarks another great addition.”
