Stephan Emig News October 2007

Dear Friends around the world,

this an update of what I have done the last couple of months and what is gonig to happen in the near future. I hope you are all in best of health and spirits.

First of all: We became aunt and uncle. Maurizio Emig was born on August 19th this year. The parents Tamara and Julian and of cause the whole family is very proud and happy.

triosence received record-deal with major-company

After some months of negotiations we are very happy to anounce that triosence got signed by Polystar for Japan and Sony Classical for the rest of the world.

Our next cd “When you come home" which we recorded with Jan-Erik Konshaug at Rainbow Studios Oslo, will be released in march 2008. We are already booking our release-tour and you can find our dates at

There are plans for international activities, too, but nothing confirmed yet. I will keep you posted.

I am very happy about things coming along with triosence and am looking forward to an exciting year 2008.

ritmo del mundo news

Together with Nené Vásquez (grammy-awarded percussionist of Celia Cruz, Shakira a.o.) we had a succesful clinic-tour this spring and some exciting drum-shows in Germany. In February 2008 we will be touring again for some clinics. We have just finished shooting video-clips for Venezuelean TV. Nené, ritmo del mundo and the Sonor Company are involved in a great project over there. With ritmo del mundo we are at the end of our DVD-production. We shot the videos during our tour and at Horus Sound Studio, Hannover in July and I am taking care of sound- and video-editing right now, which is a lot of work, but a lot of fun, too. It should be finished very soon. It was to be for promotion only, but since it became more complex than planned we might sell some copies, too :-)

With Hamid Baroudi we are done recording the drum and percussion-tracks for the next CD and we be on a small tour in Algeria from 27th of December till 1st of January 2008. I am looking fwd. to the drumsound of the CD, because it was done by my favorite engineer Arne Neurand at Horus Sound Studio.

Other than that life goes well over here and I am happy to be playing with some fine musicians.

I am looking forward to the upcoming year with all the projects I am involved in. Hope to see you soon again. I wish you all a peaceful christmastime. Sunny greetings from the beautiful capital of Lower-Saxony ;-)
