For a long time, SONOR has been very fortunate to receive countless unique drum set ideas from trustful customers, renowned artists and other valued partners worldwide. Very often, these ideas incorporate and combine attributes and features from different series or instruments into one extraordinarily unique SONOR drum set.
Over time, some of these combinations started to stand out more than others.
They have inspired our experienced SONOR craftsmen to refine them with their personal touch and bring them to life in a small assortment of limited drum sets – our Craftsmen's Collection.

This Craftsmen's Collection Vintage shell set features a 9-ply, 6mm shell construction with fully rounded bearing edges. The shells are made from 8 plies of North American maple with one outer ply of African Marble veneer. The African Marble veneer is finished in clear high gloss lacquer that is applied in seven lacquering and polishing stages by hand.
All hardware parts on the drums, like the Teardrop Lugs, Superprofil Hoops, Prism Clamps, Bass Drum T-Rods and Bass Drum Mount are borrowed from SONOR's Vintage Series. The snare drum throw-off is upgraded to the superior Dual Glide System. Finally, all hardware parts receive Ruthenium plating for the utmost luxurious esthetics.

This Craftsmen's Collection Vintage shell set in African Marble is strictly limited to one configuration and only 100 pieces worldwide, that will be available in stores internationally from November on.

It's individuality is certified with a uniqly numbered certificate of authenticity.

Shell Construction

All drums use the same 9-ply, 6mm shell construction as our regular Vintage Series. However, instead of using beech, these drums are made from 8 plies of North American maple and 1 ply of African Marble outer veeer.

This Craftsmen's Collection limited edition drum set combines the high gloss African Marble veneer and Ruthenium plated hardware, one of SONOR's most desired finish combinations, with the sound, look and feel of our Vintage Series – Classic, Elegant, Luxurious.

Brushed Stainless Steel Script Logo

This Craftsmen's Collection limited edition uses an entirely new brushed stainless steel version of the classic SONOR script logo.

Dual Glide System

For the throw-off of the matching 14"x5.75" snare drum, we're upgrading the Super 50 of the Vintage Series to our superior Dual Glide System.

Ruthenium Vintage Series Hardware Parts

All hardware parts on the drums, like the Teardrop lugs, Superprofil hoops, bass drum T-rods, claws, spurs and the bass drum mount, are borrowed from our Vintage Series and plated with luxurious and elegant Ruthenium.
