Gabriel Delmas

"Sonor drums represent for me what I like in music: elegance, nuances, groove, musicality."

- Gabriel Delmas -

At 2 years old, Gabriel was already beating time on her grandmother's pans. He started taking drum lessons at the age of 4 and then played in rock'n'roll bands. A few years later, he continued his training at Dante Agostini School in Toulouse, France, and launched his young professional career. As a versatile musician, Gabriel took part in many concerts and festivals in the south of France with Jazz, Funk, Blues, and Pop bands. In addition to expressing his musical sensitivity in many projects, he created in 2017 his own music band "Makafunk" with the singer Romain Mckenzie (revealed in "The Voice" French TV Show). With his band, Gabriel played at Jazz in Marciac, one of the greatest french jazz festivals.

Alongside his creative projects, Gabriel won many drums contests, allowing him to improve his notoriety and to be more and more solicited. These numerous distinctions led him to take part in the greatest drum festival in Europe. Gabriel thus performed in many drum festivals, including Wikidrummer 2015 and 2016 (with Tony Royster, Benny Greb, Damien Schmitt and other fantastic drummers). In October 2017, he won a major drum contest organized by " La Baguetterie " and did a drum clinic at the renowned "Moulin Rouge" in Paris, where the audience gave him a standing ovation. Using finesse in his drumming, he subtlety left his mark alongside the greatest artists like Sonny Emory (Earth Wind and Fire), Aaron Spears (James Brown, Usher, Alicia Keys), Robert Sput (Snarky Puppy) and Benny Greb. Being not only one of the most promising drummer of his generation, Gabriel is also a great teacher, taking part in several masterclass, while always keeping the same philosophy: the technique is used to serve the music, and not the other way around.
