Born in 1974, he started studying the piano at an early age under the guidance of his father, an excellent musician. At age 10, he explores the world of drums and percussion, first studying with M° Santone Salvatore (drummer and percussionist), and later with M° Antonio Santangelo (president of PAS Italia) who guided him throughout the course of Study until he received the diploma in Percussion Instruments at the Conservatory "U. Giordano" in Foggia in 1998.
He collaborates in orchestras such as the Conservatory "U. Giordano" in Foggia and "Piccinni" in Bari. In 1994, he won the "Drums Open Competition" as percussionist and drummer in two categories: cat "A" as soloist (first absolute), category "D" in quintet.
In 1998, he appeared as a timpanist in concerts organized by the province of Foggia: "Music in the Courts of Captain", performing "MIRROR", an original song for two percussionists written by M° Luigi Marinaro and in the same year he was conferred a scholarship by the Giordano Conservatory for the artistic activities carried out. In July 1998 he participated as a drummer at the Pescara Jazz edition with M° Pecoriello performing in the Salon (Pescara) and at the Teatro D'Annunzio in Quartet.
In 1999 he worked with E.A.T. as an orchestra drummer on the Costa Cruises. He studies the studies of the military drum and rudiments in Basel, Switzerland where he specializes in the Berger notation system, the technical development of the military drum, and the rhythmic interpretation and rhythmic application of the most adopted styles of modern DRUM LINES (American, Swiss, and Scottish) formations. He finishes on the battery with Ettore Mancini, attending upper courses for 4 years. With the same he holds a Master in Teaching and Improvement on the Battery (2012).
He participated in seminars held by: Agostino Marangolo, Maxx Furian, Alfredo Golino, Ellade Bandini, Michele Vurchio, Steve Smith, Dave Weckl, Horacio Hernandez "el Negro", Benny Greb, masterclasses with Christian Meyer at Sonus Factory in Rome, with Gavin Harrison "Recording Studio" at Protosound Studio, Chieti Scalo.
He collaborated with: Katia Ricciarelli, Marcello Panni, Arnaldo Vacca, Franco Simone, Michael Supnick, Papos Orchestra, Ron, Ivana Spagna, Gianni Morandi, Luisa Corna and Giovanni Allevi.
For more than three years, the Hot Stompers Jazz Band, with Lino Patruno, collaborates on a Rai‐Edu project on Jazz history curated by Lino Patruno.
He is currently engaged with Nando Citarella and the Vesuvio Drums in the CARO (SO) NANDO project with whom he recorded the first CD released by Alfa Music and in June 2013. Furthermore he worked with the Mine Pino Iodice and the New Italian Army Band in a project dedicated to the soundtracks of the 70s and 80s television series arranged for Big Band. Among the other formations he is part of, is "Gino's Big Band & Mimma Pisto".
He collaborates as a drummer with the Symphonic Orchestra "Marco dall'Aquila" directed by M° Jacopo Sipari from Pescasseroli, in the programs relating to international music and pop‐rock music; Boasting collaborations with internationally renowned artists such as Amii Stewart and Anastacia.
In 2000 he was a Percussionist winner of the competition hosted by the National Band of the Army, where he is currently employed and with whom he holds concerts in the most prestigious theaters and squares in Italy and abroad: Opera di Roma, San Charles of Naples, Scala of Milan, Malibran of Venice, Massimo and Politeama of Palermo, Rockefeller Center in New York, Lodyle New Jarsey, Roman Theater in Alexandria D'Egitto, Lyon (Berlioz festival) etc.
He has been a native of Albano Laziale (Rome) for about 17 years, and has been engaged in an many intensive teaching and seminar activities teaching drums and percussion, collaborating with several music schools in Rome. He teaches drums in his private studio in Albano Laziale; Dik Drum Studio.
He has a vast library of didactic materials, featuring solopieces, various transcriptions and arrangements of songs that have made history in the world of drumming and music in general.
