Born in London in 1975, and coming from a classical background, Pat has been a professional drummer since he was 17. As a busy freelance musician he’s regularly on tour, played on over 300 released recordings, has a healthy list of television credits and has enjoyed recording residencies at some of the UK's most prestigious recording studios.
As well as having experience of major and independent recording and publishing agreements, Pat is a multi-instrumentalist who also works as a composer and producer. Although already a published author, writing articles for various publications, his first book – a track-by-track breakdown of his first album - is due for publication in late 2013, with the release of his second album looking likely for early/mid 2014.
With a passion for education, Pat is Head of Drums at BIMM in the UK, a regular contributor to the monthly video Tech Sessions at idrummag.com, and as well as working as a clinician, is expanding the format of his clinic show for 2013/14 to include working with various youth projects and charities, aimed at inspiring young people to take up playing the drums and get involved in music.
Pat also teaches a handful of private students at his studio in Brighton, some of whom travel from all over the UK and Europe to study with him.
