Teo Jia Rong has been playing music for 12 years with a strong classical background, having played in Sembawang Wind Orchestra and the Singapore National Youth Orchestra. He graduated from Lasalle College of The Arts in 2012, completing a 3-year course studying contemporary classical percussion. Apart from playing classical music, Jia Rong has developed into an inventive, tasteful player on the drum kit and has worked with many musicians and veterans from Singapore's jazz and pop music scene over the past few years. His many achievements at a young age has flavoured his playing with a sense of maturity and sensitivity.

Teo Jia Rong is currently active performing with notable local artist such as The Sam Willows, Andrew 'Dru' Chen and Inch Chua. He was recently featured as a Pantheon Percussion artist at the Singapore Drum Festival 2016 performing alongside with international drummers such as Chris Coleman, Eric Moore, Dave Elitch, John Ashley Thomas, Jose Montana, Note Weerachat and more.

Over the last few years, he has garnered himself numerous recording and performing credits in sessions with jazz and pop stalwarts. Some notable recordings are Inch Chua's latest album entitled Letters to Ubin, TAJ's The Astral Journey EP and Michaela Therese's latest album entitled My Name is Meekellah.
