Federico Paulovich

Federico Paulovich was born in 1985 and began his musical studies at the age of 9. He took lessons throughout the years from some of the greatest Italian drummers such as Maxx Furian, Sergio Pescara, Stefano Bagnoli and Giorgio Di Tullio. He attended several clinics, workshops and masterclasses given by drumming greats including Gavin Harrison, Horacio ''El Negro'' Hernandez, Johnny Rabb, Marco Minneman, Jojo Mayer and many more.

He's been the drummer of numerous emerging bands in the Milan area. Since he was 12 he played hundreds concerts all around Italy and several recordings. One of these is the EP released in 2004 by the band Amniotic Count (winner of the national contest organized by ''True Metal'' webzine) ''Not Born Yet'', very well rewiewed by trade magazines.

In the jazz scene he collaborated with artist such as Arthur Miles (Zucchero), Larry Ray (Earth Wind & Fire), Barbara Evans, Kimberly (Gloria Gaynor, Chaka Khan), Valentino Finoli, Raffaele Rinciari.

In 2005 he was the drummer of the backing band of the TV show ''Sei un mito'' broadcasting 7 episodes on national television channel ''Canale5'' (repeated in 2006 on national channel ''Rete4'').

He worked for 2 years with the Vasco Rossi (Italian rock legend) tribute band ''Vascombriccola'' in which also Vasco's band members Claudio Golinelli, Maurizio Solieri and Mimmo Camporeale appear.

Since January 2007 he's been the drummer from Destrage; the band is signed with Howling Bull (Anberlin, Sick Of It All, Hatesphere etc.) and the debut album ''Urban Being'' was released in 2007. The band's second album ''The King Is Fat'n'Old'' has been distributed in 25 countries since October 2010.

Since May 2007 Federico has played with Barbara, an Italian pop-rock singer produced by Luca Venturi; her new album ''Dai fuoco ai miei papaveri'' is out since fall 2008 and distributed by Universal. A promo tour followed in 2009.

June 30th 2007: Frederico won the international drum and percussion contest ''Percfest-memorial Naco'' with bass player Nic Angileri. ''SuDuoKu'', the new duo formed by these two talented musicians, performed in November 2007 at the ''Euro Bass Day'' festival in Verona. SuDuoKu also appeared on national television channel ''Italia1'' as special guest of TV show ''Talent1''.

During season 2008/2009 he joins the band of tv show ''Saturday Night Live''. In the same period he works with the rock band ''The Fire'', touring Italy and Europe, and performing in events like ''T-Mobile Street Gigs'' at the Olympic Stadium in Munich, Germany.

During summer 2009 he had a full immersion experience spending 3 months in L.A. where he got the opportunity to play in several clubs and take lessons with some of the greatest drummers in the world: Chris Coleman, Ronald Bruner Jr., Rob Carson, Dave Elitch, etc.

Since 2010 he’s the drummer for Vasco Real Tribute, one of the best tribute bands in Italy, playing with Vasco's band members Claudio Golinelli and Andrea Innesto.

Also in 2010, he played part of the European Tour of Paul Di Anno (Iron Maiden) in Holland, France and Germany.

In 2011 he’s hired by Loredana Errore from Amici (Italian TV Show) for her summer tour all around Italy. In the autumn of the same year he took part of the ''Paul Di Anno Iberian Tour 2011'' with 10 dates almost sold out.

During spring 2012 he's the opening act for the great Chris Coleman for his Italian Clinic Tour, with 20 dates all over the country.

Frederico recorded with: Destrage, Goodwines, Filippo Dall’Inferno, Cold Heart, Roberto Martinazzo, Gabry Vainiglia, Motel Noire, Jemin-x, Amniotic Count, Malta Bastarda, Pericolodincendio and many more. He also recorded several songs and jingles for RTI Mediaset, including the soundtrack of ''Non smettere di sognare'' TV fiction, in which he also acted.

After many years of teaching experience, in 2007/2008 Fede joined the music academy ''Skull Of Rock''. Since 2009 he teaches at the renowed ''Accademia Del Suono'' in Milan, holding masterclasses and individual lessons.
