Mark Richardson

Mark is a drummer based in the UK who gained particular fame through the band SKUNK ANANSIE.

Little Angels (1991–1994)
Richardson moved to London in 1991 to join Little Angels as their new drummer after Michael Lee left for The Cult. His first professional engagement was on Jim’ll Fix It. The band’s third album Jam reached No. 1 in the UK Albums Chart in 1992. Despite touring with Bryan Adams, Van Halen, and Bon Jovi, Little Angels disbanded in 1994.

b.l.o.w. (1994–1995)
After Little Angels, Richardson formed b.l.o.w. with former bandmates and released the mini-album Man and Goat Alikewithin five months. Known for its DIY approach, the band toured extensively, including dates with Thunder, and distributed music through fan clubs and Kerrang! magazine.

Skunk Anansie (1995–2001, 2009–present)
Richardson joined Skunk Anansie in 1995, recording the albums Stoosh (1996) and Post Orgasmic Chill (1999), both certified platinum and gold in the UK. After a global touring run, the band disbanded in 2001 but reformed in 2009. Since rejoining, Richardson has recorded on Wonderlustre (2010), Black Traffic (2012), and a series of acoustic and live albums, with extensive touring across Europe.

Feeder (2002–2009)
Following the death of Feeder’s drummer Jon Lee in 2002, Richardson joined the band and played on Comfort in Sound, Pushing the Senses, The Singles, and Silent Cry—all UK Top 10 albums. He remained with Feeder until rejoining Skunk Anansie in 2009.

Session Work & Other Projects
Richardson has recorded and performed with artists including Steve Robson, Sunna, Amy Macdonald, Globus, Ace, Skin, Mel B, and Erika.

In 2016, Richardson co-founded Music Support, a UK charity offering mental health and addiction support to individuals in the music industry.
