Martin "Tek" Kunz

Martin Kunz aka. "Tek the Machine" (born October 16, 1973 in Bern, Switzerland) is a swiss metal drummer who has established himself musically in the rock and metal music genre. He became known as a member of the Nu-Rock band draven.

At the age of ten he learned to play drums. With fourteen years he bought his first own drum set. At that time he was the concert drummer of the orchestra in his home village Zollikofen and of the orchestra of the conservatory in Bern. One year later he played in a band for the first time, the Group EGS. 1992-1996 he was the drummer of the power metal group JUSTICIA and 1995-1998 of the pop-rock group MaSH. In 1998 he and his three brothers founded the drum group scream4. With three studio albums and over 300 concerts, this band is one of the most successful drum combos. In the same year he made his breakthrough as a musician with the Nu-Rock band draven. Among others, the band was supporting act of the finnish band HIM. After four studio albums and several concert tours through Europe, the band split up in 2011. 2002-2004 he played for the metal-core band HAK and on their first album. After that he played with the heavy metal band Under my Skin from 2011 - 2018. In 2018 Tek founded the metal hardcore band Face the End with former band colleagues. An album release is set for 2021.
