Mimmo Di Cicco, born in Naples in 1981, is self-taught, but his desire to play, his passion, and his aptitude quickly led him to perform in various contexts, including tours and recordings of over 400 albums.
Despite having won numerous awards as a composer (Saint Vincent Festival, Winner of the 1st "Lucio Battisti" Prize) and performed on numerous tours, the greatest teaching, motivation, and inspiration he received came from his hometown and from the drummers he considered "normal," who forever influenced his way of perceiving music.
"Being in the condition of having nothing and yet still having the desire to play gives you something that no music school will ever teach you."
In 2013, he continued his career in Northern Italy, where, after working for a period in various music schools, he decided to open his own recording studio, rehearsal room, and music school. At the same time, he began building handmade drums with a local drummer.
His extensive experience with wood and as an endorser of numerous brands have made him a point of reference for choosing instruments, so much so that he decided to open a YouTube channel where he reviews products for musicians.
After all these experiences, he became more and more convinced of his life philosophy, which led him to experiment with new musical styles, to be open to constructive criticism and to constantly push himself outside his comfort zone.
