Rease Cameron is an Australian drummer, educator, and writer whose work bridges performance, pedagogy, and creative design. The inaugural recipient of the John Pochée Momentum Award (2025), he is known for his performances with Ten Part Invention, leadership of The Boundless Ensemble, and educational platform Boundless Drumming.
Rooted in the jazz tradition yet continually expanding its creative horizon, Rease has performed with Joe Lovano, Kenny Werner, Bernie McGann, James Morrison, Don Burrows, Vince Jones, and Mike Nock, appearing at major festivals throughout Australia, Asia, and beyond.
Recent highlights include recording with Ten Part Invention for ABC Jazz (album release and national live-to-air broadcast scheduled for 2026) and receiving the Momentum Award at the Inner West Drum Fest.
As founder of Boundless Drumming, Rease cultivates creative independence and embodied musicianship through rhythm, awareness, and process. He holds a PhD in Jazz Drumset Performance Studies from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and continues to inspire drummers internationally as a performer, mentor, and thinker.
