Germany World Jazz

Sebastian Winne

Sebastian Winne studied jazz-drums at the conservatory in Cologne, where he still lives today.

Since 2017 he is the drummer in the television show "Neo Magazin Royale" by Jan Böhmermann, which is broadcasted weekly on ZDF.

He also works with jazz-crossover trio "Three Fall".

"Three Fall", with their unconventional line-up, consisting of drums, bass-clarinet and trombone, and their own mixture of different musical influences, are among the most independent and well-known formations of the young german jazz-generation. Since 2011, "Three Fall" is publishing on the internationally acclaimed label ACT, and is touring worldwide. Their music was recorded and played by all the major german radio stations, as well as broadcasted by WDR Television and 3Sat.

Chad Smith, the drummer of "Red Hot Chili Peppers", praised their concept album "On a Walkabout - celebrating Red Hot Chili Peppers", for which they re-arranged songs of the band, as "best RHCP covers I've heard done yet!".

Sebastian also plays as a sideman for changing formations, as well as working as a workshop lecturer. He taught Masterclasses at the ArtEZ Conservatory of Arnhem, the Music Academy Qatar and at the Xinghai Conservatory in Guangzhou.
