In 1998, Tobias left the Conservatory to take lessons with Jan Uetz (Bern, former Teacher at the Drummers Collective, NY). He joined the Bernese live-HipHop group YEDI and recorded two Albums (“Univärsum”, “Geischterfahrt”, BMG). In another Band called PROOF, he was the lead singer and recorded two EPs

In 2003, now working as a School Teacher in Berne, Tobias went to NY to study at the Drummers Collective (Certificate Programm A+B), where he took lessons with Michael Lauren, Peter Retzlaff, Memo Acevedo, Kim Plainfield, Ian Froman, Guy Licata and many more.

Since 1999, Tobias earns a good part of his money as a Musician in many different Groups, such as Rustic Raver (1999-2003), Tomazobi (1999-2016), Dean Moriarty & the Dixie Dicks (2005-2007), Kummerbuben (2007-present), Melker (2018-present), Slam&Howie and the reserve Men (2018-present), Sam Snitchey (2019-present).
