Sonor Heart

Keeping up with the rhythm

Blood makes related, rhythm makes family! Passion is a strong bond that unites even the most diverse people into one big, strong family. We are extremely proud of this because we love to share our passion for drums with them and strongly support this diversity in our family. So, welcome to our SONOR Family: These artists are the heart of SONOR and keep the beat of life alive.

John Spittle

I've always loved the sound and build quality of SONOR Drums. They sound thick, rich, full, and focused.

John has had a long-time gig for the past 17 years with Country icon Trace Adkins. John began his career on the drums in Southern California. Playing in bands and recording sessions since the age of 15. Since moving to Nashville, TN, in 1997, John has toured and recorded with various artists, including Sara Evans, Aaron Tippin, Chris Cagle, Kellie Coffey, Matt King, Paul Brandt, and more. When not on the road, John has a studio where he records drums on over 100 songs a year for producers/artists all over the world.

TV credits include The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Conan O Brien Show, Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, The Today Show, ACM Awards, CMT Awards, Craig Ferguson Show, NYC New Year's Eve Bash, Ellen DeGeneres Show, NBC Country Christmas, Grand Ol Opry Live, Emeril Live, Miss America USA, and many more.

Artists endorsement application

Apply for the SONOR Artist Family

Are you a passionate SONOR drummer, an exceptional and successful professional, educator or influencer? Do you want to be part of the official SONOR Artist Family?

General information about the application

We believe in transparency and honesty from the start. As we work closely with our official SONOR artists and provide them with professional support, our capacity to accept new artists is limited and our standards are high. Nevertheless, we carefully review each application and aim to give you honest feedback as quickly as possible. Due to the high volume of applications, this process can sometimes take a while, so we appreciate your patience.

In some cases, we involve our SONOR distributors in different countries, depending on where you primarily perform as a drummer. Therefore, you may receive final feedback from one of our partners. If you have already applied to your national SONOR distributor and received a rejection, please inform us beforehand or refrain from applying again.

To facilitate our review process, please make your application informative, well-structured and concise. In addition, please take a look at the profiles of our current SONOR Artists and critically assess whether you see yourself at that level before submitting your application.

What we would like to know about you:

  • Who are you? Please introduce yourself briefly.
  • When and why did you choose to play SONOR?
  • What qualifies you to become part of the official SONOR Artist Family?
  • In which well-known projects or bands are or were you active?
  • What is your reach (concert sizes, TV appearances, social media, etc.)?
  • Where do you mainly tour (regional, national, international)?
  • What do you hope to gain from a collaboration with SONOR?
  • How will the SONOR brand benefit from working with you?

Are you ready?

Yes? Then please send us your application via e-mail to: artists@sonor.de
