Based out of Sydney, Australia, Chris is best known for his continuing work with Australian guitarist Plini, which began in late 2017 and has seen him complete multiple tours across North America, Europe & Asia, plus contributing drums to Plini’s latest release ‘Sunhead’ (2018).
Since finding his passion for drumming at the age of 13, Chris has been constantly studying the instrument through his own personal & university studies, as well as studying with some of Australia’s finest drummers - including fellow Sonor artist Dave Goodman. His constant study has seen him develop a versatile musical approach, which enables him to go from playing laid-back, supportive pocket, to highly complex music on a dime.
Further touring session work has seen Chris play with artists such as Javier Reyes (Animals As Leaders) solo project ‘Mestis’, Serbian instrumental guitarist David Maxim Micic, UK/USA-based keyboardist Dave Mackay, Australian math-rock act SEIMS and more.
Outside of session work, Chris also writes music in a progressive/fusion trio ‘Instrumental (adj.) who have put out two releases through Art As Catharsis records. Chris also plays drums in the Tony Hawk themed cover/tribute band ‘Birdman or the Unexpected Virtue of a Tony Hawk Pro Skater Cover Band’ who were invited by Tony Hawk to play at the 20th Anniversary celebration of the release of the first game. Tony even joined the band on stage to sing a tune!
