Dave Patel is a professional drummer and drum teacher. In his over 22 years of drum teaching experience he worked together with well-known retial and educational stores in Toronto such as Soul Drums, Drummer’s Choice, Just Drums and Kaos Music Center. His career began with the study at York University and Humber College. Further he took private lessons with Vito Rezza, Paul DeLong and Jim Blackley.
As professional drummer Dave Patel has had the good fortune to record and perform with some wonderful musicians and people. Among others his list of artists includes Special Ed and the Musically Challenged, Molasses Run and The great Tony Monaco. Further musicians he performed with are Mint Band, Bass is Base, One, Jamie Bonk and Nick "Brownman" Ali Chiva. Also Mike Freedman, Michael Keith, Emily 13, Madagascar Slim, Donne' Roeberts, Ndidi Onwukulu, Katherine Filippeos, Lance Bennett, Wendy Irvine, Ian Crieghton H3O, Gary Diggins, Don Thompson, Simon Wilcox, JukeJoint, Shelly Hamilton, R.C.Johnson, Robi Botos and Planet Earth crossed his way.
He has also had the good fortune to play on over 70 albums/discs, various jingles as well as television work.
