Born January 13, 1974, in Riposto (CT), Marco Maria Pennisi started to play drums at the age of 14.
He was involved in many national music events as the Disma Music Show in Rimini, the Intexpo: Musical Instruments' Exhibition of Pesaro and the Sol Music in Palermo.
He has played with national and international artists like the singer Andrea Mingardi, Daniela Pedali, Lidia Pastorello and Lorenzo Tognocchi from the show ''Amici 2012''. Moreover, he has collaborated with the guitarist Vincenzo Mancuso, the Tenor Edoardo Guarnera, the showman Gigi Sabani, the English singer Leo Sayer, Chiara, The Samarcanda Orchestra and The Kashmire Orchestra. In addition he has joined Lucio Dalla with The Blue Big Band in Summer 2000. He has also played in the selection Tour of Miss Italia 2001 and in different TV Shows like: ''Il Brutto Anatroccolo'' on Italia1, ''La Vita in Diretta'' on Rai 1, ''Sanremo lab 2006'' on Rai1, ''Insieme'' on Antenna Sicilia. In 2006 he was on tour with the Musical ''L'amore e' una cosa pericolosa'', and in the same year he has worked as drummer, songwriter and arranger for the Band ''Le Macchine Volanti'' who won Sanremo Lab 2006 (Sanremo Music Academy).
In February / March 2007 he entered SANREMO OFF (collateral events for the 57° Festival of Sanremo) and in June the International Sanremo Music Festival with the same Band, and he recorded the single ''La Fortuna''. Support musical group for: Povia, Riccardo Fogli, Anna Tatangelo, Paolo Meneguzzi.
He has cooperated with the Author-Composer Francesco Palmieri, together they have taped the single ''SOLITARIA Y PERDIDA'' for the singer Isabò in 2008.
On December 18/19th 2010 he arranged a workshop for drums called ''Passion for the rhythm'' in the shop "Tutto Musica" in Giarre (CT) promoted by SONOR and EKO MUSIC GROUP. On July 12/13th 2011 he arranged the ''Drums summer Campus'' in Savoca (ME) at the Philharmonic Center, promoted by MAGIC SOUND Events, SONOR, EKO MUSIC GROUP, TUTTO MUSICA.
In 2010/11 he collaborated and played in the CD production ''Experimenta'' with the Maestro Trumpeter Riolo Salvo and with the executive producer Angel Valsiglio (LPausini, I.Spagna, etc.). In 2011 he also collaborated with Chico Rico in Dance productions, toured with Chimera (Gianni Morandi cover band), and with Vincenzo Mancuso (F.De Gregori, Rai, R.Zero, etc).
At the beginning of 2012 he was on tour with Daniela Pedali, Vincenzo Mancuso, The Symphonic Orchestra of Craiova and with The choral polyphonic Jonia. In March 2012 he recorded a trace on the CD ''Pop in Jazz'' by Daniela Pedali (that CD boasts the collaboration of eminent names as Roberto Gatto, Marco Tamburini, Riolo Salvo, Paulo Fresu, Dado Moroni, Furio Di Castro, Guido Pistocchi).
Summer 2012: On tour with Lidia Pastorello and Lorenzo Tognocchi of ''Amici 2012'', with ESEDRA and D. Pedali in jazz. Video production and recording ''You are to me'' for the Experimenta. SONOR Masterclass Tour 2012 around Sicily.
Worked in studio as drummer for: Isabò, Daniela Pedali, Salvo Giordano, Experimenta, Half Word, Francesco Marzio, Chico Rico, Giorgio Romeo, B.B. Jazz 5et, Esedra, Le Macchine Volanti. In process of a prog-fusion album about original compositions that will be published in 2012.

He teaches drums to Public and Private Corporate Agency and to the Marco Maria Pennisi DRUM SCHOOL in Giarre-Riposto (CT), Randazzo (CT) and S.Teresa di Riva (Me).
