Max Näscher

Maximilian G. Näscher was born in Vaduz, Liechtenstein.He studied classical percussion, drumset and composing/programming at the Zurich High School of Arts, where he graduated with honors. Afterwards he took part at the academy program in the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Opera Zurich. Subsequently he became the principal percussionist at the Dortmund Philharmonics. Maximilian has worked with over 25 leading symphony orchestras and opera houses all over europe including WDR Sinfonieorchester, Tonhalle Orchester Zürich and Opernhaus Zürich.

Since 2015 Maximilian is the principal percussionist at the Symphonic Orchestra St. Gallen,Switzerland. In addition to his orchestral work, he spends a lot of time with other musical activities and worked with artists like Shawn Jones (US), Amik Guerra (CUB), David Helbock (A), Claude Diallo. He performed chamber music at Vaduz Classic and other famous festivals with Drum oPhonic, the percussion ensemble he founded. During the last years, Maximilian played musicals e.g. Tanz derVampire, Die Wüstenblume, Priscilla–Queen of the desert and Matterhorn, on some of the most important musical stages in Switzerland. As a sound designer he creates music for the Theater St. Gallen, the ConFusionArt Collective and others.

Numerous TV, radio, CDs and live streaming broadcasts documented his work. Maximilian has given a number of masterclasses and guest lectures at high schools in Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
