Nils Plum grew up in Germany close to the Dutch border and started playing drums at the age of 6. Since being a teenager he has been playing in numerous bands and later enjoyed teaching at the local music school (Jugendmusikschule Heinsberg - 2002-2012 ). He finished his studies of “Jazz-Music” at the Conservatorium Maastricht in 2008 and is a founding-member of the band “Kasalla” from Cologne, in which he's played more than 2000 shows since September 2011 till today. On June 17th 2022, after a long period of a Covid-related ban of live music, the band finally fulfilled their biggest dream and played their own sold out stadium concert in Cologne with an audience of 40000 people. It was a huge party! “I’m very thankful for being able to make a living off what I love the most: making music and especially playing drums. Being a member of the SONOR-family feels like a never ending Christmas-Eve-Birthday-party, and I feel honored to represent such historical craftmanship, based just around the corner of my city of choice! The Vintage-Kit just suits me perfectly and makes me wanna play even more!”
