Tamagoh has been a member of the Jeremy Monteiro jazz band since 1989, and has performed with the Band in Japan, the USA, Canada, New Zealand and Europe. Together with Jeremy Monteiro, Tamagoh performed with jazz master and Blue Note trumpeter Terumasa Hino and Grammy award winner Eldee Young since 1994.
A versatile percussionist , Tamagoh played in different music ensembles across genres. He made music with Chris Brubeck together in the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (2007 and 2009). He performed as part of the Jeremy Monteiro trio featured in the Beijing Broadcasting Chinese Orchestra featured on China CCTV.
Together with Jazz Legends ; Jon Faddis, Paquito D’Rivera, Roy Hargrove, Russel Malone, Renee Rosnes , Dennis Mackrel, Jeremy Monteiro, Jon Hendricks, and Todd Coolman; Tamagoh was part of James Moody Scholarship Fund concert in New York City’s B. B. Kings Bar and Grill in March 2008.
He has also worked with pop artiste Ronan Keating, Sarah Brightman , Frances Yip, Eric Moo, Coco Lee, Anthony Lun, Sandy Lam and Jazz artiste Nestor Torres, Laura Fygi, F.I.R, and Grammy award recipient jazz vocalist Carmen Bradford.
Additionally , Tamagoh has played at music and arts festivals around the world, including the 2010 London Jazz Festival, Edinburgh Arts Festival , the esteemed Frankfurt’s Jazz Keller, the Jakarta Jazz Festival, the ASEAN Jazz Festival 1990 in Kuala Lumpur, and the Wellington Arts Festival 2004.
Tamagoh was conferred the COMPASS Artistic Excellence Award 2005 for his outstanding artistic contribution to Singapore, and he was a recipient of the Soka Association Golden Lion Award for his contribution to the WORLD PEACE movement. In June 2005. In june 2016, Tamagoh was part of the Sandy Lam Pranava World Tour to Hong Kong Coliseum , and Taipei Arena. He is proud to have performed at the world renowned Carnegie Stern Hall with the Singapore Vocal Associates Festival Chorus.
