Virgilio Marujo was born in 1960 in Alverca do Ribatejo, Lisbon, Portugal. Son of a musician (saxophone player) he attended drum classes when he was 15 and only 2 years after, he already played Casino Estoril.
Virgilio immediately found other musical situations to work in, such as theatres and "Revista" in Parque Mayer. In his over 30 year long career he had the possibility to perform and record with the most famous Portuguese musicians. His live experiences include full international tours as well as national television appearances.
Since getting into the professional scene, Virgilio has been teaching drums in a private school which belongs to a Drums and Percussion retail store in Portugal. Today, he plays with the Rui Bandeira project.
