The music scene knows Chris (or “Suds” as he’s often called) for his diversity and ability to cover almost any style. He’s most recognized for holding down the drum chair for Canadian rock legend Kim Mitchell (15 years), Sass Jordan (16 years), and more recently The Road Hammers.
Chris recently finished a record breaking run with the Toronto Production of Cyndi Lauper’s Tony Award winning Kinky Boots. He was also the principle drummer for 3 years of Abba’s Mamma Mia. Furthermore Chris has performed the musicals Shrek, and Footloose.
He recently finished his 5th year as the house band drummer for the Canadian Country Music Association’s Awards week. There he performed with up to 20 artists per year.
Chris has toured, recorded, and performed with Lawrence Gowan, Doc Walker, Saga, Joey Landreth, Alias, Dallas Smith and George Canyon. Moreover he played with Tom Cochrane, Deric Ruttan, Randy Bachman, Burton Cummings, Chad Brownlee, Dierks Bentley and Michelle Wright. Also The Wilkinsons, Lyndsay Ell, Jess Moskaluke, Aaron Pritchett, Glen Drover Band, Streetheart, and many others crossed his path.
Recorded Jingles and TV spots for the likes of Coca Cola, Coors Light, NFL, NHL, Chevy, Tim Hortons, and hundreds of others.
Chris studied at Musicians Institute (PIT) with legends Joe Porcaro, Casey Scheuerell, Steve Houghton, and Ralph Humphrey. And has studied privately with Ed Soph, Jim Chapin, and Gregg Bissonette.
Chris uses Sonor Drums, Zildjian Cymbals, Vic Firth Drumsticks, and Remo Drumheads exclusively and is an in demand clinician and educator.
