Blair Cunningham

Blair Cunningham, born on 11 October 1957, is a successful and talented drummer from Memphis, Tennessee. His older brothers always played jazz, R&B and Blues. So, Blair grew up playing these styles as well.

His band career started with Haircut One Hundred. From that he went on playing drums among others for Sade Echo and Bunnymen, Jim Diamond and Robert A Johnson. Furthermore he played with Echo & The Bunnymen, The Pretenders, Paul McCartney, Alison Moyet, Sade and Paul Rutherford. His long list of great musicians also includes the Indigo Girls, Roxy Music, Tina Turner, Lionel Richie and Mick Jagger. Finally he performed together with Ray Davis, Andy Taylor, Marius Müller-Westernhagen, Kevin Rowland and The Big Dish.

Moreover he played drums on a one-off gig by Sharks, and on "All Things Are Nice" and "My Baby" off Blancmange's debut album Mange Tout.
