Carina Zimmert

Carina Zimmert, born in Mainz in 2004, started playing drums at the age of 6 at the music school "Tonfabrik" in Höhr-Grenzhausen. There she also gained her first stage experience.

Since 2014 until today, she has won first prize 14 times at regional, state and national level in the "Jugend musiziert" competition. At the age of just 12, she achieved the highest score of 25 in the category "Drumset-Pop" at the national competition in Paderborn. In 2021 she received the Special Prize of German Music Schools in the category "JuMu-open" for her self-composed music pieces at "WESPE", the weekend of special prizes in Regensburg. Some sponsors became aware of her early on. She currently plays in the Rhineland-Palatinate youth jazz orchestra "Phoenix Foundation", in a rock band and a symphonic wind orchestra. Her range extends across the entire percussion spectrum. She is not only focused on the drum set, but also switched to classical percussion and jazz drumming at a young age. The young drummer also plays percussion, cajon and marimba. Meanwhile, Carina Zimmert tours nationally and internationally as an independent drummer and is in great demand.

During Carina's musical career, she has repeatedly came into contact with Sonor instruments. "Full of enthusiasm, I feel the excellent sound and the energy of Sonor's craftsmanship with every beat. I feel honoured to belong to the Sonor family and to represent the company as an artist/ endorser", says the young drummer talent Carina Zimmert.

Her passion for playing drums can be seen on her social media channels.
