Dirk Leibenguth

Dirk Leibenguth is a professional drummer from Germany, whose career includes lots of live performances and recordings. From 1987 to 1992 he was drummer in the jazz fusion trio Impala. They had about 40 performances per year in Jazz clubs and jazz festivals.

1993 to 1995 he was drummer of jazz and joined hip hop band Exponential Enjoyment. One year later he played in the hip hop band DCS "Die coolen Säue" (BMG), toured through Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Czech Republic. They were supporting act for MC Lyte, KRS-One and many more. In this time he also appeared on MTV, Live from the BR Slaughterhouse.

In 2000 he recieved a commission as live drummer for an r&b act / Brooke Russell (Edel). Since 1998 Dirk Leibenguth is live drummer for Susan Weinert Band (jazz fusion / acoustic jazz). 

1998-2004 touring drummer / arranger / Creative Producer of Carol Laux, many Performances in clubs and theaters, 2 albums productions etc. Since 2001, he is touring drummer and musical director of hip hop artist Curse, one of the leading German hip hop artists. Further he joined numerous tours and produced 4 Album releases (Sony/ BMG), recorded numerous features on various albums by other artists such as Xavier Naidoo, RZA, Kool Savas, Azad, television appearances on MTV, WDR, Rock am Ring, Rock im Park, Splash (Europe's largest Hip Hop festival), Summerjam etc.
