France Jazz

Gabi Vigroux

Gabi was born in Nimes, south of France, and explored music at the age of 3. Soon he started playing all kinds of different percussion instruments - jumbé, derbouka, congas, bongos, timbales etc.

At the age of 5 he joined the drumming class of the "Camargue music school" where he took lessons for 15 years and had a chance to work with drummers like Claude Gastaldin, Joe Hammer and others. Partly thanks to SONOR and their national French "HSMA" trophy that he won twice in 2013 and 2015. At the end of that period he was nominated for the "Young Talent Trophy".

After his curriculum, he attended the current music class at the Béziers Conservatory Mediterranean, where he obtained his CEM in 2018, as well as the jazz class at the conservatory of Aix-en-Provence. He collaborated with Enrico Macias, Chimène Badi, Marc Lavoine, Imagination, Jeane Manson, Eve Angeli, Louis Pettruciani, Adamo, Emmanuel Pi Djob and many more.

He also plays for the TV show "Les Enfants de la musique chantent".
