Rüdiger Hemmelmann

Rüdiger Hemmelmann was born on 13.03.1966. At the age of 9 years he discovered his passion for music and especially for drums. Already as a child and teenager he was active in the youth band of his home town Himmelstadt.

Between 1980 and 1991 he was live on tour with various big bands and brass bands, e.g. "Die Laudenbacher", "Die fröhlichen Franken" and the "Franken-Express".

Since 1991, Rüdiger Hemmelmann has been an integral part of the "Kastelruther Spatzen", probably the best known and most successful representatives of folk music. Several million records sold and innumerable radio, TV and live performances on all continents characterize the success of the South Tyrolean formation, which has now lasted 35 years.
