Stephan Emig can best be described as a "hybrid drummer." As a sought-after sideman for concerts, TV productions, and in the studio, he has made a name for himself through his expertise as a drummer, percussionist, and specialist in Ableton Live.
In his playing, he creatively combines traditional drums with percussion instruments and electronics, creating a unique and innovative style. He is equally at home in pop and rock as well as in jazz. His references include worldwide performances and studio work with renowned artists such as Hamid Baroudi, triosence, Klaus Lage, Gregor Meyle, Stefanie Heinzmann, Jazzkantine, Eloy, Nico Santos, Zoe Wees, Marquess, and many others. As part of the TV bands "Sprengstoff," the All Together Now TV Band, and the "All Hands On Deck" band, he has accompanied artists such as Natasha Bedingfield, Ava Max, David Hasselhoff, Max Giesinger, Sarah Connor, Joris, Tim Bendzko, Eko Fresh, and Revolverheld.
Stephan Emig studied at the Los Angeles College of Music and is now an internationally sought-after instructor at workshops and drum camps. He has a teaching position at the Institute of Music at the University of Osnabrück and is the author of the successful book "5 Habits of a Musical Drummer.“
